In its second-quarter 2026 update, Tesla said it was installing its first Optimus production line in Fremont after retiring the Model S and Model X lines. If the need is limited to one activity, a specialised appliance may offer a simpler solution. Humanoid flexibility only adds value when it is needed and works reliably.
