How much a sex robot costs cannot be answered with a single number. There are several orders of magnitude technically and financially between a static doll, a motorized module, an interactive head and a mobile humanoid. Our price index therefore separates purchase price, delivery status and total operating costs.

Price overview 2026
| Product class | Example | Listed price | What the price does not automatically include |
|---|---|---|---|
| Static TPE/Silicone Doll | German dealer offers | often around 950 to 1,300 euros in simple configurations | Additional options, care, storage and wearing parts |
| Interactive header | RealDoll Harmony | starting at $7,349.99 | Import, tax, transport, body, app or follow-up costs |
| Interactive full body configuration | RealDoll Harmony | starting at $11,349.99 | Import, tax, shipping, accessories and maintenance |
| Robotic Bust | Realbotix B Series | from $20,000 | Customization, delivery, setup and support agreement |
| Modular upper body | Realbotix M Series | from $135,000 | Project planning, transport, integration and operation |
| Mobile full-body humanoid | Realbotix F Series | from $175,000 | Project planning, service, insurance and environmental protection |
The table is not a ranking. It shows how problematic general statements like “sex robots cost 10,000 euros” are. Some products are essentially high-quality dolls with additional modules; others are business robots that are not offered for intimate use.
Tip: Alpha Bionik Reifegrad
Compare price and maturity level together. An additional charge is only technically justified if the additional level demonstrably provides more sensors, actuators, interaction or safety. Marketing terms do not count as a function.
The Alpha Bionik Price Index
As a base value of 100 we use the cheapest transparently listed static adult configuration of an established DACH dealer on the respective reference date. Each additional product class is shown as a ratio to this underlying asset. On the day of the test, a simple comparison configuration was around 949 euros.
| Example | Price in original currency | Price index, rounded | Maturity level |
|---|---|---|---|
| Static comparison configuration | 948.95 euros | 100 | R0 |
| Harmony head | $7,349.99 | approx. 666* | R2 to R3 |
| Harmony full body | $11,349.99 | approx. 1,030* | R2 to R3 |
| Realbotix B Series | $20,000 | approx. 1,813* | R3 |
* Model calculation with the ECB reference rate from September 10, 2026: 1 euro = 1.1616 US dollars. The index deliberately ignores transport, duties and fees; it is only used to compare the listed starting prices.
The seven components of total cost of ownership
- Purchase: Base price plus body, head, skin, sensor and software options.
- Transport: Bulky goods or wooden boxes, forwarding, delivery to the curb or place of use.
- Import: Import sales tax, possible customs duties, customs clearance and transport service provider fees.
- Operation: Electricity is usually not a major cost item; subscriptions, cloud AI and app services may be more important.
- Care: Suitable cleaning and care products as well as safe storage.
- Maintenance: Batteries, actuators, cables, skin modules, speakers, sensors and shipping to the workshop.
- Residual value: Resale can be severely limited by hygiene, personalized parts, account lock-in and lack of software support.
How to calculate the actual costs
The shop price is not sufficient for a reliable calculation. A simple three-year TCO formula is:
Total costs = purchase price + configuration + transport + import taxes + setup + ongoing software costs + care and energy + maintenance reserve − realistic residual value.
Every post should receive a source. The purchase price comes from the written offer, transport and insurance from the shipping company offer, taxes and customs from the import calculation. For unknown repairs, a reserve is more honest than a value of zero. A residual value should only be applied if transfer of ownership, hygiene, spare parts and decoupling from the previous user account have actually been clarified.
Example of a US import
A system listed in the USA at 11,349.99 US dollars costs around 9,770 euros at the reference rate used before it reaches Germany. In addition, there are freight, transport insurance, import sales tax, possible customs positions and clearance fees. For a heavy special product, the packaging, shipping and subsequent return alone can be significant. A binding sum can therefore only be derived from the complete offer and the correct customs tariff classification.
The timing of payment is also important. A deposit months before completion ties up capital and shifts the risk of default to the buyer. For individually manufactured goods, cancellation rights may be limited. Payment schedule, production milestones, acceptance and reimbursement therefore belong in the contract.
Three TCO scenarios for three years
Because real maintenance data is missing, the following values are not market prices, but transparent planning frameworks. Buyers should replace each field with a written dealer offer.
| Scenario | Acquisition | Additional costs in the first year | Reserve per year | Three-year framework |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| R0, static, EU dealer | 1,000–3,000 euros | 150-500 euros | 100-300 euros | 1,350-4,100 euros |
| R2/R3, interactive import product | around 6,300-10,000 euros before import costs | 1,500-4,000 euros | 500–1,500 euros | 8,800-17,000 euros |
| R3/R4, custom robotics | from around 17,200 euros to well over 150,000 euros before project costs | individually | Service contract required | can only be calculated using a reliable offer |
The conservative approach is important: a heavy, rare system can incur high repatriation costs. If spare parts or cloud services expire, the economic value may decrease even though the mechanics still work.
Which running costs are often underestimated
For many devices, power consumption is less important than software and logistics. A cloud-based conversation service may incur monthly fees or upgrade to a more expensive model later. Batteries age even with little use. Skin materials, joints, cable glands and actuators are wearing parts; for proprietary components, any repair depends on the manufacturer.
A malfunction becomes particularly expensive if the entire device has to be returned to the manufacturer. Buyers should clarify in advance whether the head, electronic module or actuator can be shipped separately. On-site service, replaceable modules and published spare part prices significantly reduce the cost risk.
Which budget fits which goal?
If you are primarily looking for material quality and individualization, you should not artificially upgrade an R0 product as robotics. The budget there goes better into processing, safe storage and reputable EU service. R1 can be useful for individual active functions if noise, maintenance and mechanical limits are transparent.
R2 and R3 systems are only worthwhile if sensor reactions, facial motor skills or dialogue actually provide the desired added value. Software access, data protection and update periods must be taken into account here. R4 and R5 promises belong in a 2026 project budget with technical acceptance, service contract and risk reserve – not in an ordinary shopping cart.
Which price information is reputable
A useful price quote lists the model, configuration, currency, sales tax status, delivery country, shipping method, delivery time and included support. For imported goods, it should also be clarified in writing who the importer and EU responsible person is. Terms such as “from”, “pre-order” or “reservation” must remain visible.
Five questions before making a deposit
- Has this exact configuration already been delivered?
- Which functions are included in the offer and which are only planned?
- What ongoing software or cloud costs arise?
- Where does a repair take place and who pays for the transport there and back?
- What happens to functions and data if the app or provider is discontinued?
Frequently asked questions about sex robot prices
How much does a real sex robot cost?
This depends on the definition. Static products start in the low four figures. Interactive head or full body configurations can cost the equivalent of several thousand to over ten thousand euros. Mobile humanoid platforms are valued at high five to six figures as business customer products.
Are import tax and shipping included in the manufacturer price?
Often not with international offers. Currency, sales tax status, Incoterms, place of delivery and customs clearance must be included in the offer. Without this information, a price comparison is incomplete.
How high should the maintenance reserve be?
Without reliable failure data, there is no reliable general value. A higher reserve makes sense for rare imported hardware than for a locally supported standard product. The decisive factors are module prices, guarantee, transport costs and promised spare parts supply.
Is a more expensive model automatically technically more advanced?
No. Material, craftsmanship and customization can increase the price significantly without changing the Alpha Bionik maturity level. Maturity level and costs are therefore shown separately.
