ABB Robotics is one of the world’s leading providers of industrial robotics and machine automation. The portfolio includes six-axis robots, SCARA and Delta systems, collaborative models, autonomous mobile robots, controllers, and software.

This breadth enables complete material and production flows. An AMR can transport components, a robot can process them, and RobotStudio can simulate and commission the cell.

Cobots, Classic Robots, and AMRs

YuMi, GoFa, and SWIFTI address collaborative or near-collaborative applications. Classic IRB models cover high payload, speed, and specialized environments. Mobile systems expand the portfolio to include intralogistics.

The benefit arises from the appropriate selection. A slower collaborative mode of operation is not automatically better than an enclosed high-performance cell; ABB can offer both options.

Software and Service as Moat

RobotStudio allows offline programming and simulation. OmniCore forms a modern control family. Global service and spare parts structures are particularly important for systems that need to remain productive for many years.

AI-based perception can increase flexibility, but it does not change the requirements for process capability, safety, and documented quality.
